The Associated Press called Iowa's 2nd District for Lindsay James (D) over Joe Mitchell (R) at 12:20 AM ET, a Democratic gain (AP via NYT). James has 171,512 votes to 157,722 for Mitchell with about 98% counted.

AP earlier called IA-1 for Christina Bohannan (D) and IA-3 for Sarah Trone Garriott (D), both Democratic gains.

As of 12:28 AM ET, AP has called 186 House seats for Democrats and 114 for Republicans; 218 are needed for a majority (AP via NYT).
