The Associated Press called Ohio's Senate special election for Democrat Sherrod Brown at 11:10 PM ET. With about 87% of the expected vote counted, Brown has 2,017,362 votes (48.6%) to 1,928,646 (46.5%) for Republican Sen. Jon Husted (AP via NYT). AP lists the race as a Democratic gain.

With this call, AP has called 48 Senate seats for Democrats, counting seats not up this year (AP via NYT).
