The Associated Press called the Texas Senate race for Democrat James Talarico at 11:03 PM ET. With about 66% of the expected vote counted, Talarico has 4,091,414 votes (59.4%) to 2,688,522 (39.0%) for Republican Ken Paxton (AP via NYT). AP lists the race as a Democratic gain.

With this call, AP has called 47 Senate seats for Democrats and 37 for Republicans, counting seats not up this year (AP via NYT).
