Attorney General Todd Blanche fired back Friday after incoming House Oversight Chair Robert Garcia threatened newly named White House chief of staff Stephen Miller with legal retribution.
Responding to Garcia's "lawyer up" warning, Blanche said Miller already has counsel: "Telling him to 'lawyer up!' Well, I'll tell you what, Stephen Miller HAS a lawyer. It's ME. Me and the entire [Justice Department]."
In a related clip circulating Friday evening, Blanche argued Democrats are already squandering their midterm victory by pivoting to legal weaponization instead of governing — and said he has "NOT lawyered up" for the fights ahead.
The exchange comes hours after President Trump elevated Miller to replace Susie Wiles, and after progressive Democrats signaled subpoenas and probes targeting Trump aides.
