The sidewalk outside Republican Sen. Susan Collins' office at 160 Main St. in Biddeford, Maine, was vandalized overnight with red paint spelling out "blood on her hands," next to a pool of paint meant to look like blood, WMTW, WGME and the Bangor Daily News report. Some paint appears to have splattered onto the office doors. Biddeford police got the call shortly before 11 p.m. Monday and are investigating. The campaign says no one got into the building.
"This is another incident in a series and the second attempt at our Biddeford office to intimidate the Senator and her staff. These tactics are disturbing, but not effective," Collins' chief of staff, Katie Brown, said. "Our staff is undeterred and on the job."
It is the second attack on the Biddeford office in about five weeks: in late September a vulgar insult was spray-painted on its doors, and Collins said her Bangor home was egged about a week before that. Collins faces Democrat Troy Jackson, a former Maine Senate president, today. Kalshi traders give Jackson about a 70% chance.
