Iran sends a nuclear proposal through Qatar — but says talks wait until Washington meets seven demands

Iran has sent the United States a nuclear proposal through Qatar, a senior Iranian official told Reuters on Thursday, while insisting the proposal will only be discussed after Washington meets Tehran's seven demands. The official said Washington was reviewing the proposal.

The channel comes as President Trump said Thursday he will soon decide whether to go further against Iran, and as Qatari mediators have been circulating ideas that pair limited U.S. steps with Iranian nuclear concessions. No deal has been announced.
