New satellite imagery reviewed by British intelligence firm MAIAR for BBC Verify shows Iran rapidly repairing and expanding missile and military sites smashed by months of U.S. and Israeli airstrikes.
November photos show construction and digging at Garmdareh near Tehran and the Shahroud base in the north — two of the regime's biggest military hubs — plus repair work at at least a dozen other missile complexes and airbases. Analysts say Tehran is shifting production and storage underground to blunt further strikes. Former CIA Iran analyst Jim Lamson tied Shahroud excavations to missile production after repeated hits on the nearby airbase.
The buildup comes as Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell has said the U.S. destroyed up to 90% of Iran's drone, ballistic-missile and naval industrial base — while Tehran still claims large stockpiles and has resumed liquid-propellant missile work. President Trump has kept a narrow window open to finish the job before a Democrat-led Congress can rein in war powers.
