Stephen Miller pledges 'absolute loyalty' to Trump in first speech as chief of staff

FACTS

New White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller pledged his "absolute loyalty," "unwavering commitment," and "total devotion" to President Trump and the country in his first remarks after the appointment, the New York Post reports.

Speaking at Mar-a-Lago Friday night after Trump elevated him and moved Susie Wiles aside following the midterm losses, Miller said Trump "took a bullet for us," "faced down life in prison for us," and "saved the Republican Party from the ash heap of history."

"It is the honor of my life to be President Trump's chief of staff," Miller said, as Democrats prepare to confront the administration on immigration, the Iran war, and tariffs with new majorities in both chambers.
