Montana man pleads guilty to cyberstalking Hawaii's Jewish governor with antisemitic death threats

FACTS

Eric Lee Boltz, 52, of Montana, has pleaded guilty to one count of cyberstalking for threatening Hawaii Gov. Josh Green, who is Jewish, The Jerusalem Post reported, citing the US Attorney's Office.

According to court records, Boltz left nine threatening, antisemitic voicemails with Green's office between Dec. 4 and Dec. 15, 2025. Disguising his voice, he threatened to kill Green and his family and to sexually assault his daughter, and told Green he and his children would "go in the oven."

Boltz was charged in June. He told investigators he had owned the phone number used for the calls for about a decade and that no one else had access to his devices. He was taken into custody after his plea and faces up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 at sentencing, set for March 4, 2027.
