Sen. Chris Murphy hospitalized after a stroke

The Connecticut Democrat, 53, felt numbness in his arm at his son's hockey game Saturday and was moved to Johns Hopkins, his office said.

His chief of staff said he is “awake and alert” and “responding well to treatment.”
