FACTS
On the eve of Tuesday's vote, Republican Saritha Komatireddy is pressing her case that Attorney General Letitia James has turned "a blind eye" to antisemitic hate crimes in the state with the largest Jewish population, JTA and The Jerusalem Post report. Komatireddy has pledged to declare an antisemitism state of emergency in New York City, expand hate-crime prosecutions and push buffer zones around Jewish schools and synagogues, the New York Post reported.
Several Jewish leaders are defending James. Mark Treyger, CEO of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, said she rearranged her schedule to stand with an Ethiopian-Israeli cafe owner in Harlem who faced anti-Israel harassment, and called her "accessible and responsive to community concerns."
The final Siena poll had James ahead by 15 points, and Polymarket traders give her about a 95% chance.
