NYC voters approve all five charter measures, including faster outdoor dining permits and bike and bus lanes

FACTS

New York City voters approved all five ballot measures backed by Mayor Zohran Mamdani, according to AP results reported by Gothamist.

They cut outdoor dining permit time from up to eight months to two, streamline bike and bus lane construction, simplify city contracting, put building permits in one digital hub, and set a 12% rainy day fund target.

"Tonight, New Yorkers voted for a government that moves as fast as they do," Mamdani said in a statement.
