NYPD and Kinus organizers lock in security as 6,500 Chabad shluchim head to Crown Heights

FACTS

Organizers of the Kinus Hashluchim, the annual conference of Chabad emissaries, met senior NYPD officials at the Jewish Children's Museum in Crown Heights to finalize security for this week's gathering, Anash.org and COLlive report. Officers from the 71st and 77th Precincts, Patrol Borough Brooklyn South and the NYPD Counterterrorism Bureau went over police coverage, crowd and traffic control and major-event security.

More than 6,500 rabbis and community leaders from 111 countries are expected over five days. "Security is our top priority," said Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, the conference coordinator, thanking the NYPD for its "continued partnership."
