Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), a member of the House progressive "Squad," urged Democrats to use their new midterm majorities to enact far-left priorities, Fox News reported Friday.
"Democrats, when we have the power, you have to use it," Pressley said in remarks. She told colleagues not to "just talk about" healthcare, abortion access, Black lives, or ICE — and called on them to "pass Medicare for All," "enact reparations now," pass the EACH Act and repeal the Hyde Amendment, and "take every last dollar from them and abolish ICE."
Republicans lost both the House and Senate in Tuesday's midterms. President Trump retains the veto for the final two years of his term. Pressley also posted Wednesday that Black women are "poised to lead at every level of government" after what she called Trump's effort to end DEI.
