FACTS
Saudi-led coalition air defenses intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles fired by Iran-backed Houthis toward Najran province in southwestern Saudi Arabia on Friday, coalition spokesperson Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki said.
"Debris fell as a result of the interception, and damage is being assessed," Al-Maliki said. Saudi civil defense briefly issued potential-danger warnings for Najran under the National Early Warning Platform, then lifted them. Later Friday the coalition said a drone was intercepted and destroyed in the Makkah region.
The Iran-backed militia has been targeting civilian facilities, airports and energy infrastructure across the Kingdom as the wider Iran war continues.
