Schumer votes in Brooklyn, calls his mood 'nauseously optimistic' about the Senate

FACTS

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer cast his ballot in Brooklyn on Tuesday morning and told reporters Democrats are "nauseously optimistic" about winning back the Senate, AP and ABC News report. He voted at P.S. 321 in Park Slope, according to ABC7.

Schumer said he expects to be majority leader again, but also said "we don't want to count our chickens before they hatch," NBC News reports. Asked whether Democrats would work with President Trump if they win, he said: "it'll be up to him," and then promised to "fight Trump tooth and nail," ABC7 reports.

Nauseous is the right word. The betting markets give Democrats about a 3-in-4 shot at the Senate, and the man who wants the gavel back is already planning the fight instead of the work.
