In a Fox News column Saturday, Media Research Center's Tim Graham argues that ABC, CBS and NBC spent the fall predicting doom for Republicans and then greeted the Democratic sweep with what he calls "fountains of gush."
Graham points to ABC's George Stephanopoulos inviting Texas Sen.-elect James Talarico to "spell out" his "politics of love," and to "CBS Mornings" hosts praising Kansas Sen.-elect Adam Hamilton for "decency and kindness." When the professing Christians are Democrats, he writes, religion suddenly becomes a wonderful thing on network TV.
He also says the networks framed Michigan Sen.-elect Abdul El-Sayed's win only as a triumph over "Islamophobic attacks," while skipping his campaigning with Hasan Piker, and that PBS left Florida's first Black governor, Republican Byron Donalds, off its list of "historic firsts."
