President Trump told CBS he can work with Democrats without a problem — while refusing to walk back the nicknames.
Asked about calling Texas Sen.-elect James Talarico "Tala-freako," Trump said, "Yeah, I did!" Pressed on whether he could work with Democrats without insulting them, he answered that he also calls many of them "Dumocrats." Asked if he could go six months without insults to get a deal done, Trump said: "Very easily."
The exchange, circulating Saturday via Eric Daugherty on X, comes as Trump installs Stephen Miller as chief of staff and signals he is not backing down on immigration enforcement. With Democrats taking both chambers, the next year is a fight over whether the blue wave was a mandate — or a midterm protest Trump can still outmaneuver.
