Asked by reporters on Wednesday whether he has spoken to Vice President JD Vance about 2028, President Trump said: "I speak to him about a lot of things, but I mean, we'll see what happens."

"Maybe he won't run, I don't know who's gonna run. But I can tell you that as far as that war is concerned, I would have done nothing different," Trump said.

The remarks came after Vance posted that "the reason we lost is the war." Asked about the post, Trump said: "I know how he feels about it. I think it was fine, yeah. I thought it was good."
