Judge throws out Trump's defamation suit against the Wall Street Journal for good

U.S. District Judge Darrin Gayles in Miami dismissed with prejudice President Trump's refiled defamation suit against The Wall Street Journal over its report on a letter bearing his name in a 2003 birthday album for Jeffrey Epstein. The judge ruled Trump failed to show "actual malice" and said the suit was "grasping at straws."

Dismissal with prejudice means the claims can't be refiled in that court. A spokesperson for Trump's legal team said he "will continue to press forward," and a source told CBS News an appeal is likely. Trump has called the story fake.
