REPORT

Russian strikes on power infrastructure in four Ukrainian regions overnight left hundreds of thousands of households without electricity, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Sunday. Ukraine's air force said it shot down 371 of 433 Russian long-range drones.

Zelenskyy said Ukraine hit a missile-related plant in Russia's Rostov region. The governor of Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region, home to a major oil refinery, reported "significant damage" to an industrial site after a large Ukrainian drone attack. Moscow has accused Kyiv of ignoring Trump's request to stop hitting Russian refineries.

Update, Nov. 2: Ukrainian drones struck the Samara oil-pipeline pumping and dispatch station near Prosvet in Russia's Samara region overnight, setting off a fire, the Kyiv Independent and Kyiv Post report, citing Ukrainian monitoring channels and local residents. Russia has not confirmed the damage.
