Ex-Mossad chief Yossi Cohen: another strike on Iran 'will eventually happen'; MBS 'not mature enough'

FACTS

Former Mossad director Yossi Cohen said Monday he expects another targeted military operation against Iran. "Iran continues to advance its capabilities; it may be rebuilding or refurbishing facilities, and we must ensure that these capabilities do not remain in its hands," he told Birthright Israel's first Taglit Global Business Summit in Tel Aviv, adding that Tehran is "not negotiating in good faith," The Times of Israel reports.

Asked about Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Cohen said: "Apparently, he's not a mature enough person," then added, "Don't quote me," The Jerusalem Post and ynet report. He called the joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran "exactly the kind of cooperation we aspired to," but said the regime can only be toppled by Iranians themselves.

The remarks come amid reports that the U.S. has told Gulf allies to prepare for renewed conflict with Iran as soon as Nov. 4, The Times of Israel reports.
